ABOUT

Autism Response Team has been servicing the special needs community of North Texas for nearly a decade and is locally owned and run. ART offers a one-of-a-kind curriculum that allows people with disabilities to engage in everyday activities. We offer services in a variety of venues, including clinics, homes, communities, schools, and telehealth.

Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts will carefully create an assessment-based intervention to address these issues and, as a result, improve the learner’s daily functioning. To empower our families and provide hope and optimal outcomes, we try to involve the entire family and provide knowledge about the autism diagnosis. We are driven by a desire to improve and achieve success in a variety of settings, stages of development, and ages.

Coordinated Management of Care

The Autism Response Team Texas Model of ABA-Coordinated Management of Care (ART-CMC) is a collaborative endeavor that brings together general practitioners, developmental pediatricians, pediatricians, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and teachers. The treatment of patients is considered as a multidisciplinary endeavor.

A developmental pediatrician or clinical psychologist will usually conduct an initial examination to rule out or confirm the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (DSM-IV TR). Individuals with severe behaviors will undergo a functional analysis to establish the meaning of their actions and to build a function-based intervention. These people will also have their psychiatrist evaluate them for psychiatric assessment and intervention.

With the above model in mind, the protocol of applied behavior analysis used by Autism Response Team ABA services will be provided on the following pages. The purpose of this protocol is to show how ART’s clinical quality control mechanism works.

“SEE” as a Model Guiding ART ABA program

SEE” is an acronym  for safety, efficacy, and efficiency.

The Autism Response Team is dedicated to ensuring the safety of every patient who seeks its assistance. The “mandate to report” responsibility is instilled in direct care workers and their managers. Direct care professionals and their supervisors are also taught in NCPI procedures to ensure that, if a patient becomes physically violent, they can manage the patient and themselves as safely as possible.

Treatments that are effective and will allow the patient to progress toward independence are referred to as efficacy. Supervisors and direct care personnel are trained and monitored to ensure that the programs they develop and implement for each patient are suitable and have the greatest possible impact.

Efficiency refers to treatments that allow patients to achieve their objectives as fast as possible. Supervisors and direct care personnel are cognizant that the services offered to each patient must be both effective and efficient.
